I Found You! (Shinji X Hiro)

                                                   (Some time after Aizen's rebel...before his final fight)

     "Urahara-san!" Hiro called, "Are you home?"
     No answer came.
     "So what should we do?" Hayate questioned impatiently.
     "I'm gonna wait for him to come home…He said he'd be here for us when we came. He can't be far."
     Hayate groaned. "I don't feel like waiting…"
     Hiro scoffed. "So then what do you propose we do?"
     "We could go see Akana Ayumo…I hear she still has her store here in Karakura…"
     "Ohhhh ho ho…so that's what you wanna do. You wanna go see Akana? Okay, you go do that. I'm going to wait here for him." Hiro plopped down stubbornly and crossed her arms. A pout took her face as she looked up at Hayate.
     Hayate pouted back. "Fine! I will go see Akana!" He turned and walked toward Akana's shop in the middle of town. Just as he rounded a corner, Jinta came out from Urahara Shoten with a cold glare on his face.
     "What do you want?" He asked, clearly leaving his manners behind him.
     Hiro nearly choked trying to keep from laughing. The moment Hayate rounded the corner Jinta decided to come out. The irony of it was killing her.
     "Uhm…" she said between chokes. "I'm here to see Urahara-san." Just as Jinta was about to shoo her away, Kisuke Urahara, the owner of Urahara Shoten came bursting out from behind the sliding door.
     "Hiro-chan!" Fan in hand and stripy hat on head he pulled Hiro into a massive hug.
     "Kisuke!" She hugged back just as ferociously. Hiro pulled back and spoke again. "I have some business in the human world and figured I'd stop in and say hi, if that's ok."
     "Of course it is!" Urahara's voice seemed to thrust little hearts into the air before him as he spoke. "You're always welcome here, Hiro-chan! Right, Jinta?"
     Jinta pouted and folded his arms. Kisuke pushed past him to the table. Hiro followed and upon her passing placed her hand roughly on Jinta's head. "Lighten up, kid. Would ya'?"
     "Shut up!" he retorted, but Hiro paid no mind. She was already sitting at the table across from Urahara and being served tea by Tessai.
     "Tessai…you traitor." Jinta growled quietly.
     "Thank you, Tessai. You're always so welcoming." Tessai nodded at Hiro's words and handed her a little tray of cookies.
     "So, Hiro-chan…" Urahara began. "Do you have a place to stay?"
     "No, I don't. It looks like Hayate will stay with Akana…you know her right?" -Urahara confirmed her and let her continue. – "but I don't know where I'm gonna stay. I could probably go see her and ask if she has enough room for the both of us…"
     "Oh, no need." Urahara waved off such a silly notion with his fan. "I know where you can stay."
     "With you?" Hiro was puzzled.
     "Nope! Though that would be quite lovely…I think I know somewhere else you would love even better." He handed her a map and a couple pictures. "That's what the building looks like, and this is where it is in Karakura."
     Hiro flinched. "It doesn't look too accommodating…"
     "Oh, I think you'll find it quite homey and…familiar on the inside." Hiro questioned his words but decided to trust him. Besides, if it wasn't too nice, she could always just come back to the shop, kick Urahara's ass and demand he give her decent lodgings. That was plan B.
     "Ok, Kisuke. I'm trusting you here…I'll go check it out now." She got up to leave but Urahara's hand on her wrist stopped her.
     "Hiro-chan…try to contain your excitement, alright? We don't need anything to break…"
     Now Hiro was really confused. She slowly inched toward the door, double taking at Urahara and repeating what he said in her mind. "O…Okay."

     As Hiro neared the building she continued to contemplate her confusion. What was here that would cause her to be so excited? She couldn't even think of a single possibility.
     Just as she reached for the door, her arm shot back, fried by an imaginary flame. Hiro yelled at the invisible wall and whipped out Hotaru. She slashed at the air and a crack appeared. The next second, her fist soared forward and broke the remainder of the blockage.
     "Stupid kido…" She muttered and into the warehouse she walked. But Hiro didn't get far before she stopped in her tracks from the sight in front of her.
     Scattered throughout the room were many of the vizards. A few on the floor, a few on the various landings. Everybody looked at her but she only saw one person: the man on the couch, Shinji Hirako.
     Before anyone else could say anything both Shinji and Hiro were running towards each other. It had been at least 100 years since they had last seen each other. They had to make the most of their reunion. The two nearly barreled into each other and fell into a bone-crunching bear hug.
     "I found you…" Hiro muttered.
     "Ya' found me…" Shinji replied. "I'm so glad…"
     Hiro pulled back but rubbed her hands on his back repeatedly, searching for something. Shinji looked down at her and whispered awkwardly, "What're ya' doing?"
     "Your hair…it's gone!"
     Shinji chuckled. "Yeah…it wouldn't quite fit in with the humans here."
     "Despite how wonderful it was?"
     "Despite how wonderful it was…" Shinji loved her humor, it always made him smile.
     Hiro pulled him into yet another hug. "I really found you!"
